KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Civil Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia.  This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas.  The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Civil Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure civil designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements to drive impactful engineering solutions for the Abadi Project.  This role will analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data for this project.

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare design specifications

• Support construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site

• Participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction

• Influence and assist clients to determine best possible result within project parameters

• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, safety and standards

• Perform technical reviews to ensure clarity, completeness, and exactness

• Ensure proper communication & coordination between stakeholders, contractors, and other engineering teams

• Perform Structural analysis using STAAD PRO

• Execute concrete design using Foundation 3D/Mat3D

• Complete Hydraulic Calculations & Drainage Calculations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field

• Minimum of 7 years of civil engineering experience, with average experience of 10 + years

• Strong background in the LNG or Oil & Gas industry

• Proven ability within civil engineering on major LNG projects

• Knowledge of international standards and best practices in LNG civil design
