Millwright Journeyperson
DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comprehends diagrams schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures.
- Operates rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
- Understands how to fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
- Align and test equipment to make any necessary adjustments.
- Performs preventative and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts as necessary.
- Periodically perform tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
- Supporting machinist at location as fabrication needs dictate. Experience in Machining considered and asset.

- Excellent problem-solving skills required.
- Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.
- Successful candidates are required to have a valid Alberta driver’s license and provide a 5-year driver’s abstract.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time.
- Must be able to perform duties at heights.
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.
Trade Requirements
- Millwright Journeyperson certificate from a recognized provincial training authority.
Position Information
- Located in the Edmonton Area
- 5/2 Rotation Schedule
- Must have valid driver's license & own reliable transportation
- Travel may be required
- Full-time
