Junior Legal Counsel
What You’ll Drive
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale construction claims and disputes (including claims preparation, negotiation, adjudication, mediation and all types of ADR).
- Involvement in non-contentious (including dispute avoidance, training and workshops, drafting agreements and standard terms and conditions, contract reviews and negotiation, and providing management and site team with practical advice on specialist, large scale complex or problem projects).
You’re a Great Fit If You Have
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience, preferably in project finance, PPP, infrastructure, and construction projects
Proven experience as an in-house or business-focused legal counsel
Strong understanding of corporate external environment and regulatory influences
Ability to develop proactive and defensive legal strategies with high ethical standards
Excellent analytical skills, sound judgment, and strong attention to detail
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proven track record in managing contentious matters end to end
Solid knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and legal documentation procedures
Familiarity with local courts and arbitration forums (ICC, DIAC, DIFC, etc.)
Ability to analyze issues, prepare legal opinions, and implement legal solutions
Capability to supervise, train, and coordinate legal teams and consultants
Knowledge of current legal trends, financial and business analysis, and community legal resources
Law degree required; master’s in Construction Law and fluency in Arabic and/or French are advantageous
