Junior Hydraulic Engineering

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia March 23, 2026

Want to focus on producing hydraulic designs rather than working on the tools? Ready to build project experience across multiple sectors while growing your technical capability within an established team backed by a global organisation?

WSP is seeking a Graduate Hydraulic Designer to join our established Brisbane hydraulic team within our broader, multidisciplinary Building Services group. In this role, you’ll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Mission Critical, Aviation, and Defence, while developing your skills through technical mentorship and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Your primary focus will be the design, documentation, and delivery of compliant hydraulic systems using BIM/CAD platforms. You’ll apply hydraulic design standards, complete hydraulic calculations, and produce accurate technical documentation and specifications to support successful project delivery. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal and external design teams to coordinate BIM outputs and support senior designers and engineers throughout the design and delivery lifecycle.

At WSP Brisbane, you’ll work on diverse building projects across Australia and internationally, supported by a mentoring‑focused team and access to national and global expertise. We offer flexible and hybrid working to support wellbeing, competitive salary and benefits, and a culture that values creativity, continuous improvement, and professional growth—while being part of a global team of 73,000+ people making a positive impact worldwide.
