Junior Graphics Designer

LightFeather is seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Designer to join our team on-site in Arlington, VA. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate looking to continue their design career in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in graphic design principles, a polished portfolio, and a willingness to learn while creating visually compelling materials across digital and print platforms.

You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate ideas into clear, engaging, and brand-aligned visual assets that support internal initiatives, client deliverables, and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Create visually compelling designs for presentations, marketing collateral, digital campaigns, social media, and internal communications.
• Support the development of branded materials that communicate ideas clearly and consistently.
• Translate feedback into polished visual deliverables with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with team members to develop graphics, layouts, and visual storytelling assets.
• Assist with maintaining visual consistency across all company materials and platforms.
• Prepare files for digital and print use as needed.
• Help evolve templates, branded assets, and other reusable design resources.
• Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional graphic design experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design fundamentals, creativity, and visual communication skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, as well as Figma and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and brand consistency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work on-site in Arlington, VA.

Nice-to-Have

• Internship, freelance, academic, or campus organization design experience.
• Familiarity with Canva, Framer, and PowerPoint design.
• Experience creating social media graphics, infographics, or presentation materials.
• Interest in mission-driven work, government contracting, or professional services.
