We are seeking a Junior Architecture Governance Analyst to support Aviva Canada’s Enterprise Architecture team. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their career in IT, governance, or the insurance industry, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the architecture discipline.
This is a learning-focused role with opportunities to grow into Architecture Governance roles. Hands-on training, mentorship, and access to architecture tools (including Planview Enterprise Architect) will be provided.
What you'll do
Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date information within the architecture repository.
Help collect, validate, and organize data needed for IT Estate reporting and governance metrics.
Provide support in generating dashboards, reports, and insights for leadership.
Participate in governance meetings by helping prepare materials and capturing action items.
Learn and apply architecture standards, processes, and data quality requirements.
Help update reference materials, documentation, and Confluence pages.
Respond to basic queries and escalate more complex issues appropriately.
Assist in tracking architecture roadmaps and documenting status updates.
Oversee Architecture Intake review process from scheduling request through to issuance of meeting minutes and build permit issuance.
Support resolving and ensuring compliance with Architecture specific Risk & Control items.
What you'll bring
Interest in Enterprise Architecture, governance, or IT data practices.
Basic experience with Excel, reporting, or administrative analysis is an asset.
Ability to manage meetings, and track actions to completion.
Experience or exposure to either Qlik or Power BI an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Basic understanding of the insurance industry is an asset but not required.
What you’ll get
The salary band for this position ranges from $60,000 to $90,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
