About Vitestro
Founded in 2017 in Utrecht, Vitestro is pioneering the future of blood collection with the Aletta® Autonomous Robotic Phlebotomy Device™ (ARPD™). This groundbreaking medical device combines advanced multi-modal imaging (near-infrared, ultrasound, and Doppler ultrasound) with robotics and AI to perform the entire diagnostic blood draw procedure autonomously.
By addressing critical healthcare staffing shortages and improving patient experience, Vitestro is transforming one of the most common and essential medical procedures. With more than 90 team members and growing rapidly, we are scaling our impact. As we placed our first devices with customers, we are now expanding our team to ensure successful implementation and long-term reliability.
At Vitestro, we are committed to continuous innovation and improvement.
About the Role
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join the Platform Team and help build the cloud foundations that power Vitestro’s Cloud & Connectivity Platform. As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and operate the infrastructure and services that enable secure device connectivity, cloud-to-cloud integrations, and integrations with hospital IT systems.
You will work closely with other engineering teams and the cybersecurity team to design and build the technical capabilities required for reliable and compliant device operations. Your work will focus strongly on building integrations: connecting our platform with hospital systems, laboratory systems, SaaS platforms, authentication providers, and other external services. You will contribute to the backend components and data flows that support operations, monitoring, and the device lifecycle.
This role is part of an agile engineering team, collaborating daily to deliver high-quality, secure, and well-architected solutions.
If you enjoy hands-on cloud engineering, solving challenging technical problems, and building high-quality, scalable systems in a regulated environment, you will thrive in this role.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will:
Design, build, and operate AWS-based cloud infrastructure supporting device connectivity and backend services
Develop backend components used for operational workflows, data exchange, and device support functions
Integrate APIs and external systems, including Hospital and laboratory information systems, and SaaS platforms used across Vitestro
Build and maintain integration patterns (REST, events, messaging, webhooks, secure file exchange)
Automate infrastructure and service provisioning using Infrastructure as Code
