Journeyperson Carpenter
The carpenter is responsible for constructing and maintaining buildings.
Required knowledge includes: construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety.
The carpenter must be proficient at the following tasks: hanging doors, drilling and setting door hardware, setting windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, formwork, and reading blueprints. The carpenter must also possess the mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do materials estimates.
Qualifications
- Ticketed Journeyperson Carpenter or Unticketed Carpenter
- Experienced with a large general contractor
- Currently working in the trade.
- Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- first aid and CPR.
- Able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract preferred
- As the last step in the recruitment process, selected candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment physical testing screen to assess their ability to perform the essential functions of the job. This step ensures a safe and effective work environment for all employees.
