We are seeking a Java Developer to support enterprise workflow and platform initiatives by building and maintaining Java-based services and utilities that enable automation, system integrations, and platform stability. This role focuses on modernizing and refactoring existing utilities, supporting release delivery, and enabling operational readiness for ongoing platform enhancements and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Java utilities and services supporting operational workflows (e.g., onboarding, request processing, environment tasks)
- Execute .NET to Java utility conversions and perform refactoring to improve maintainability, scalability, and performance
- Support platform modernization initiatives, including updates to event and logging pipelines (e.g., Splunk to Kafka migrations)
- Bring utility components under governance standards and improve documentation for operational readiness and support
- Partner with configuration, development, and release teams to align utility behavior with evolving platform functionality and new feature releases
- Support release execution by triaging issues, collaborating with QA, and ensuring deployment readiness, including managing dependencies
- Participate in production support knowledge transfer and operational procedures, including runbooks, scripts, and log verification
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operational stability and platform performance
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6+ years of hands-on Java development experience building services and utilities
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and refactoring existing applications (including .NET to Java migration)
- Experience working with event streaming or logging pipeline updates (e.g., Kafka, Splunk, or similar technologies)
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills using logs and verification processes
- Experience working in release-driven environments and supporting deployment activities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and release management
