Japanese Video Quality Specialist in Japan

#LI-JG1 Welocalize is recruiting for Video Quality Specialists to join our team!   What you'll be doing? In this exciting role, you will be reviewing and troubleshoot video content for a leading consumer technology company as a contributor to the finished products released in target markets across the globe. Please note: This position will require you to work remotely in Japan. Only candidates currently living in Japan and who hold work authorization are eligible to apply.   What you’ll need to succeed: • High proficiency in English • 1+ years experience in video editing / troubleshooting or technical video roles • Excellent ability to research and troubleshoot common technical errors such as frame rate issues, subtitling and audio mistakes, for movies and TV shows • Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of macOS systems • A strong interest in TV shows / movies / media   Key Qualifications: • Passion for digital video and knowledge of the film and TV industry • Possess a thorough working knowledge of common technical issues found in digital video and audio • Willingness to work in a high volume, fast-paced, and changing environment • Ability to take initiative and troubleshoot video/system playback issues and identify trends to propose short and long-term solutions • Track record of responding quickly and decisively to issues • Effective verbal and written communication skills • The ideal candidate should have experience with some or all of the following: • Knowledge of subscription video content services and familiarity of their product offerings • Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet knowledge • Multilingual is a plus but not required
