Associate ITAM Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Analyst at ZS IT team is responsible for the endtoend lifecycle management of IT hardware assets across the organization. This includes maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring compliance with HAM processes, optimizing asset utilization, and supporting operational excellence through reliable asset data. The analyst works closely with IT support, procurement, finance, and infrastructure teams to ensure assets are tracked, governed, and used effectively.


What Youll Do:

Asset Lifecycle Management

  • Manages complete lifecycle of IT hardware assets request purchase deploy track maintain retire.
  • Adds and updates hardware asset records in ServiceNow (SNOW), ensuring accurate fields like serial number, ZS tag, location, warranty, and status.

Inventory & Data Accuracy

  • Performs physical verification of laptops, mobiles, Macs, servers, network gear, and office devices.
  • Reconciles SNOW inventory with data from discovery sources like SCCM, JAMF, Intune, IP-based scans.
  • Ensures ZS tag pasting, proper attribute updates, and inventory consistency across global/India offices.

Coordination & Operations Support

  • Works with Local Tech Support for asset installation, location updates, repairs, swaps, replacements, and decommissioning.
  • Coordinates with Procurement & Finance for invoices, capitalization, insurance, asset categorization, and record updates for India-specific processes.
  • Supports infra teams for configuration changes requiring SNOW updates.

Compliance, SOP Adherence & Governance

  • Follows ZS IT HAM SOPs for FAR, discovery, verification, and lifecycle governance.
  • Ensures compliance with audit requirements (ISO, NIST, internal IT Risk, Archer system inputs).
  • Maintains documentation and supports audit evidence collection when required.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepares periodic inventory health reports device counts, discovery coverage, missing data, warranty cycles, etc.
  • Tracks asset risks such as data inaccuracy, missing reconciliation, and manual dependency areas.
  • Highlights improvement opportunities in inventory accuracy and process efficiency.

Continuous Improvement & Tool Enhancements

  • Identifies gaps in discovery (e.g., missing SCCM/JAMF/Intune mappings).
  • Identifies gaps in Asset management tools(like SNOW, etc.)
  • Suggests automation, improved integrations, and SOP updates to strengthen HAM reliability.
  • Helps standardize processes across geographies for consistent hardware governance.
  • Create and update documentation related to software asset management processes and procedures.
  • Responds to requests from managers, and team members, for specific Programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What Youll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret asset data, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially in maintaining accurate asset records, discovery reconciliation, and inventory validation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with Local Tech Support, Procurement, Finance, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including ability to work with large datasets, Vlookups, pivot tables, and reports.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft O365 tools and daytoday collaboration platforms.
  • Selfmotivated, goaloriented, and an innovative thinker with a processimprovement mindset.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, workflows, and IT asset management processes.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow (SNOW) or other ITSM/ITAM platforms for managing asset lifecycle, tagging, and record updates.
  • Understanding of IT hardware types (laptops, mobiles, Macs, servers, network devices, office equipment) and their lifecycle requirements.
  • Basic understanding of discovery tools like SCCM, JAMF, Intune, IPbased scanning, and how they integrate with asset management systems.
  • Ability to perform physical audits, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain inventory accuracy across multiple locations.
  • Awareness of governance, compliance, and auditrelated requirements (ISO, NIST, Risk assessment inputs, warranty tracking).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests, updates, and asset tasks in parallel.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to support crossfunctional teams and maintain documentation as per ZS SOPs and governance standards.
  • Willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives related to HAM processes, automation, reporting, and tool enhancements.
  • Flexible in working under all the environments and time zones.
