IT Support Officer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- · Responsible for installation and configure hardware and software components
- · Repair or replacement of damaged hardware
- · Upgrading systems to enable compatible software
- · Ensure Installation and upgrading of working antivirus software
- · Testing and evaluation of new technology
- · Performing tests on new hardware and software
- · Define software, hardware and network requirements
- · Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- · IT support officer ensure they provide IT consulting in various departments and assist managers in IT.
- · IT support officer also provide proper assistance to staff and various customers of the organization.
- · Training the customers to use hardware and software programs to enhance the available IT support.
- · Diagnose any user faults, email configuration and mailbox creation.
- · They must also identify errors and register complaints related to IT.
- · IT support officers should also monitor the performance of each IT system.
- · The Support Officers must also resolve computer software to upgrade IT systems.
- · Support Officers must also ensure the security of IT systems.
- · IT support officers must also document processes and then conduct IT-related tests to diagnose problems.
- · They must keep in mind the latest IT trends and technological advancements.·
- Ensure that all departments use technology profitably and comply with regulatory standards.
- · Responsible for supervision of system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- · Build quality assurance and data protection processes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications or related field
- · A minimum of 2years relevant work experience providing IT support in a corporate or high paced environment;
- Experience conducting business requirements gathering & analysis and providing the relevant technical support to meet these needs;
- Certificate in Database Administration or Development;
- Good understanding of current IT security and data protection standards;
- Demonstrated understanding of IT Management;
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills with the ability to investigate issues and requirements and identify and prioritize appropriate solutions;
