Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, security, business, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, gather business requirements and translate them into technical designs and process workflows for Asset Management.
  • Data Integrity & Auditing: Perform regular "health checks" to ensure the data in the CMDB matches the physical and virtual reality of the IT environment.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with Security teams (to find vulnerable assets) and Finance (for asset depreciation and cloud spend).
  • Process Improvement: Refining the automated discovery patterns that pull data into the CMDB to reduce manual entry errors.
  • Integration: Integrate IT Asset repositories with ServiceNow, databases and data lakes.
  • Discovery & Integration Management: Analyze and validate data ingestion from discovery tools (like Microsoft Intune, JAMF, or ServiceNow Discovery) and external data sources.
  • ITOM Awareness: Conceptual understanding of discovery tools and ITOM technologies.
  • Support: Troubleshoot, triage and resolve asset discovery jobs to ensure inventory accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting: Develop complex analytics, data visualizations, and automated dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, configuration guides, standard operating procedures and runbooks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  • Close to 4 years of hands-on working experience in CMDB/Asset Management Data analysis
  • Data Modeling & SQL: Strong experience with relational/non-relational modeling (e.g., BigQuery, MySQL, ) and complex SQL.
  • ETL/ELT Tools: Proficient in designing data movement pipelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of BI platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Exposure to any Cloud platforms or experience with cloud data warehousing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) .
  • Any scripting experience (REST API, JSON, AppScript, etc.)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ability to interact with global teams
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Fluency in reading and speaking English
