What You Will Do
You will be trained in the following 2 areas:
Applications Development
- Develop code and documentation as directed by a Senior Developer to deliver against specified timescales, quality, coding standards, and acceptance criteria to ensure the definition of done is met.
- Conduct Unit and System testing, fixing errors and tracking defects as required.
- Understand and address peer review comments.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with team members, participate in training and knowledge transfer.
- Provide clear estimates and updates on progress against assigned tasks during scrum ceremonies.
- Escalate any problems and exceptions that need to be addressed to the Senior Developer or Scrum Master promptly.
- Log and follow up defects into the bug tracking system with the required fields based on testing standards so that results can be reproduced and debugged.
- Participate in the debugging/triage process.
- Develop manual functional/ regression tests and documentation.
- Implements Test Automation using appropriate testing tools according to application/ framework to be tested and agreed coding standards.
- Maintain, update and fix existing automation suites according to requirement and development changes
- Develop understanding and interpret syntax based on agreed codebase/ framework implementation.
Quality Assurance (Manual & Automation)
What You Will Bring
- Fresh IT Graduates from Computer Science/ Computer Engineering / Information Technology/ Information Systems or other relevant courses.
- Good working knowledge of common operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD, OS X).
- Good knowledge of common hardware (Desktops and Laptops)
- Ability to collaborate with senior resources on high-level goals and features.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in fluent English.
- Can follow written and verbal instructions accurately and promptly.
- Asks questions, checks for understanding, explains clearly and precisely.
- Able to organize own time to deliver against tasks set by others, with a short-term horizon.
- Able to work cooperatively with others to achieve short-term project and team goals.
- Builds stable and useful working relationships within a small project team and immediate development team.
- Willing to work on EMEA shift schedule.
