Responsibilities
The Air Support Specialist is responsible for the overall ARC processing and reporting for Nexion. Acts as ARC Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trains other ARC users and answers their questions as necessary. Also responsible for maximizing commissions and contacting advisors for Nexion-related ARC matters.
- Ultimate responsibility for making sure all ARC numbers are filed on time.
- Assists with Contract Optimization functions, which include commission research.
- Balances ARC to TRAMS on a weekly/daily basis and resolves error issues.
- Ensures that Nexion is compliant with ARC and carrier rules and regulations.
- Assists debit memo research, payments and communication to advisors.
- Maximizes commissions on issued tickets, identify errors and fraudulent transactions.
- Audits transactions in ARC and TRAMS making appropriate corrections which includes servicing refunds and exchanges.
- Provides miscellaneous reporting as needed.
- Maintains Certified ARC Specialist classification (preferred).
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Active ARC Specialist Certification preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in ARC reconciliation.
- May require evening and weekend work.
- 5+ years of experience in the travel industry.
- GDS experience a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to train others on how to reconcile ARC and lead them to close the weekly ARC numbers.
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to analyze and problem solve.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a range based on the local market where the candidate would be working. Many factors, such as years of experience, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.
