Where You’ll Make a Difference
- Work closely with Manufacturing Technology Director, Process R&D, and Manufacturing teams to establish and implement technical criteria to ensure process stability and process safety.
- Identify, evaluate, and select unit operations to maximize product performance and production efficiency. Drive continuous improvement at site level, through KPIs and Benchmarking as well as support new product introduction.
- Provides process, materials, and/or equipment engineering technical expertise to manufacturing operations to maintain production performance or restore process capability when the product or standard process is no longer safe, stable, predictable or in control.
- Participates as part of a team to upgrade products and processes by implementing modifications ranging from incremental daily improvements to technology game changes.
- Develops improved process instrumentation and control strategies for process safety, productivity, capacity, and uptime performance.
- Provides technical expertise in one or more technology areas and recognized as a leader in that technology.
- Supports asset productivity improvements and implementation of best practices across the region.
- Responds to manufacturing sites technical inquiries: Provides technical information, product recommendations, process, and application troubleshooting.
- Support capital projects, asset productivity improvements, Process Safety Management (PSM) implementation, and YB/GB continuous improvement projects.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Food Science & Engineering.
- 5 or more years’ (10+ preferred) working experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in areas such as Hygienic Design, Process Safety Management, extraction, compounding, spray drying, powder handling, CAD, statistical analysis, process design capability, and Six Sigma.
- Ability to work independently, with excellent time management and judgment in prioritization skills and the ability to identify synergies and leveraging opportunities across multiple sites.
- Experience successfully managing capital projects. Knowledge of Six Sigma/Process Excellence. A Six Sigma/Process Excellence Certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience on process safety management.
- Language proficiency: fluent English both oral and written
