International Admissions Officer
Location: Auckland CBD
Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid 

About the role: 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven Admissions Officer to join our team. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end admissions process, assess student eligibility, and ensure a smooth enrolment experience across UP Education providers.

In this pivotal role, you will facilitate and manage the admissions process and determine student applicants' admissibility to the UP Education providers while maintaining the 24-hour turnaround time. You will promote a team culture of continuous self-assessment and student centricity, always seeking improvement to work effectively and improve students’ and agents’ experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

Regulatory & Compliance 

  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of external regulatory mandates related to NZQA entry prerequisites and apply this to daily operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations governing admissions and the maintenance of enrolment data.

Daily Operations 

  • Application Processing and assessment; Documentation; Data Management
  • Communication with agents, applicants & Sales Team
  • Counseling - provide guidance to applicants on programmes available through UP Education providers
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying updated on best practices in admissions and working to improve the admission process for efficiency and fairness
  • Reporting: Generating reports and data analysis related to admissions trends and outcomes for institutional planning and decision-making.

About You:

  • Proven experience in Admissions in a higher education setting 
  • Strong understanding of policies of NZQA, TEC, MOE, NZ Teaching Council and NZ Nursing Council
  • Strong understanding of Immigration NZ policies
  • Experience in roles interfacing with international students (highly preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced computer literacy and a demonstrated understanding of software, database and internet applications (preferably a CRM or student management system)
