How you'll make a difference:

  • Acting as a design engineer on a variety of building projects of various sizes and complexity 
  • Following through all phases of projects from concept design through construction 
  • Being driven to provide the highest technical quality in the delivery of designs, drawings, specifications, and in the field 
  • Working closely with our integrated team of architects, interior designers, landscape architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as other partner firms
  • Building relationships of trust with clients and other outside agencies 
  • Recruiting, mentoring and enabling the next generation of structural engineers. Coaching and reviewing the work of more junior team members
  • Providing Contract Administration support for your projects including supervising and inspecting the installation, modification, testing and operation of structural design
  • Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering is required, Master’s Degree is an asset
  • Professional registration with Professional Engineers Ontario or another provincial engineering association 
  • 5-10 years of experience designing buildings is required 
  • Experience working with a range of structural materials, including reinforced concrete, structural steel and mass timber
  • Working knowledge of Revit, with the ability to navigate models and perform basic tasks
  • LEED, Green Globes, ENV SP (or other similar sustainability) certification is considered an asset
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator that can convey complex technical concepts to non-technical firm leaders, staff and clients 
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and multiple tasks/projects
