Interim Finance Director

North London April 15, 2026 Contract

We are working with a fast‑growing consumer brand that is looking to hire an Interim Finance Director on a 6‑month contract, with a strong likelihood of converting to permanent. This role is based in North London, requiring 3 days per week in the office, and is ideal for a commercially minded senior finance leader who can add immediate value.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of the finance function, drive improved financial performance, and support strategic commercial decision‑making during a key period of growth.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Overseeing cash flow, liquidity and working capital, ensuring financial stability and visibility for the CEO.
Reviewing monthly management accounts and providing clear insight, recommendations, and financial guidance.
Driving cost control initiatives, reviewing company expenditure and identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability improvements.
Supporting commercial strategy including pricing, product development and growth planning alongside the CEO and leadership team.
Leading and developing the finance team, ensuring strong performance, collaboration and ownership.
Improving financial processes, controls and reporting tools, and recommending system enhancements or automation to streamline operations.
Preparing financial reports, forecasts and board‑level analysis, as well as contributing to budgeting, financial modelling and long‑term planning.

The Successful Candidate:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong senior finance leadership experience.
Proven background in commercial finance, cost management and partnering with CEOs or senior leadership.
Hands‑on and comfortable working in a fast‑growing, entrepreneurial environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
Available immediately or on short notice, and able to commit to 3 days onsite in North London.
