Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Instrumentalist Technician. The main responsibilities of this role include implementing effective solutions and ensure the availability of company assets by carrying out preventive maintenance on instruments and integrated control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain computer equipment and the software required for control systems in optimal conditions
• Manage proper backups of programs in equipment that includes control systems
• Provide direct support to the Maintenance Department in both corrective and preventive maintenance activities
• Perform maintenance on instruments and devices associated with control systems in production equipment
• Support the Manufacturing Engineering area with actions aimed at optimizing control and safety systems

What we’re looking for

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Schooling: Incomplete degree or similar in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering; Electrical, Electromechanical, or Electronic Technician
• Experience Time in similar position: 6 months or more in a similar position.
• Technical knowledge required: Analog and digital electronics, PLC and CNC operation, industrial electronic installations, preventive and corrective maintenance, TPM, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical control, mechanics, control systems, servomechanisms, electrical testing equipment, vision systems, traceability system
