Installer, Fireplace
Summary/Objective
The Fireplace Installer provides professional in-home and pre-settlement installation of fireplaces, performing all duties with the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
Essential Functions
-
Install fireplaces and components in residential and commercial settings
-
Address installation issues to resolve operating problems according to manufacturer’s specifications (including, but not limited to, ignition systems, gas pressures, venting, mechanical, and house pressure) before leaving the job site

Use diagnostic tools such as manometer and multi-meter to obtain readings on gas pressure and voltages
-
Initiate gas startups and perform homeowner orientations to ensure proper operation
-
Maintain full knowledge of the after-market product line and utilize consultative sales techniques to sell service products and accessories

Read manuals and conduct hands-on study of products to maintain up-to-date knowledge

Communicate effectively with customers to provide needed information with professionalism

Collaborate with sales staff and the service department to ensure installations meet quality standards

Perform installation preview and post-view processes as needed

Attend and successfully complete all company-provided training

Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager
Competencies/Skills/Abilities

Proven mechanical aptitude

Ability to manage multiple installation projects while maintaining quality and safety standards

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with all types of people inside and outside of the company
