Infrastructure (System) Engineer

At ValGenesis Portugal, we are searching for a Infrastructure (System) Engineer to join our Corporate IT team in our Lisbon Office. You will be an essential contributor to our European IT Operations.  While executing day-to-day IT operational tasks will be your main duty, you will also have the opportunity to participate in strategic projects to improve the efficiency of our IT Support Services. Your contribution will be crucial to our IT operations' efficacy and efficiency. 

·       Managing ServiceDesk Tickets submitted by our users. 

·       Solving hardware and software problems related to Desktop, Laptops, and other IT equipment. 

·       Executing Backups and Restoration of corporate IT Servers 

·       Applying Windows Patches either through WSUS or manually when required. 

·       Updating User permissions and folder Access. 

·       Monitoring Endpoint protection installation, troubleshooting and alerts. 

·       Experience in administering Microsoft Windows 2019/2022 servers. 

·       Working knowledge of Windows operating systems. 

·       Working knowledge of Active Directory. 

·       Experience in Windows IIS, MS SQL, and general Server Hardware. 

·       Exposure to firewalls, switches, and access points. 

·       Working experience with VMware. 

·       Familiarity with patching best practices and tools. 

·       Experience with O365 

·       Knowledge of storage and RAID concepts 

·       Knowledge of ISO 9001& 27001 (ISMS) would add more value. 

·       Degree /Diploma in Computer Science or related field. 

·       2- 3 Years experience in IT or a related field

·       A+ and N+ certifications are a plus

·       Should be flexible to work on demand basis for all the onboarding and offboarding requests.
