Information about the business Commercial risk team provides risk solutions to businesses across a larger number of sectors within and outside of the United States. Typically, clients will be either a national or a multi-national company. These clients will be looking for a tailored approach towards transactional risk transfer as well as risk management advice and services. General description of role: This Analyst role is a critical operational partner to Specialty Brokers, ensuring that complex placements are supported by accurate, compliant, and timely documentation. The position is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and interested in building a career in specialty insurance and broking operations. Job responsibilities: The Colleague provides high quality administration support for internal and external clients, being the technical expert in the team and sharing their expertise by: Produce highly customized, time‑sensitive certificates of insurance for a wide range of specialty broking placements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policy terms, client instructions, and carrier requirements. Adapt certificate language, limits, and endorsements to reflect unique client and placement structures while adhering to internal quality standards. Prepare, review, and process complex surplus lines invoices, ensuring required documentation is gathered, validated, and compliant with applicable surplus lines and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with brokers, carriers, and internal compliance teams to ensure accurate, timely completion of all surplus line’s filings and related documentation. Partner closely with Specialty Brokers to understand client needs, placement structures, and coverage terms, translating broking instructions into precise, compliant documentation. Act as a key liaison between brokers, internal operational teams, and carrier partners to support timely information exchange for certificates, invoices, and specialty documentation. Manage internal workflows, including document tracking, coordinating approvals, updating internal systems, and maintaining organized, audit‑ready records. Monitor multiple deadlines and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment, proactively raising risks or delays to ensure all deliverables meet strict time, quality, and compliance standards. Skills/competencies required: Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate documentation under tight deadlines. Solid understanding (or strong ability to learn) of insurance policy structures, certificates of insurance, and surplus lines concepts. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort working within internal systems and databases. Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a continuous improvement attitude.
