Main Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage external immigration law firm transactional activities driving strategic initiatives to enhance program effectiveness.

  • Establish and implement quality measurement mechanisms to ensure the consistent application of vendor processes across all business units.

  • Develop and implement the US immigration strategy, policies, and procedures in alignment with business objectives and talent management, positioning immigration as a vital component of our organizational success.

  • Collaborate with and influence internal teams to provide comprehensive support for US immigration initiatives, spearheading the creation of efficient workflows and operational improvements.

  • Offer expert guidance on the immigration impacts throughout the employee lifecycle, including crucial transitions such as hiring, promotions, job changes, company reorganization, acquisitions, divestitures, and terminations.

  • Develop and implement new or revised US immigration education programs/training based on new or changing governmental policies and internal programs.

  • Monitor and communicate immigration alerts, policy changes, and regulatory developments effectively across the organization.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing in-depth analysis and strategic solutions for complex US immigration matters.

  • Act as a key collaborator with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver company-wide immigration insights and support, enhancing our overall employee experience.

  • Delivering comprehensive, hands-on support to our diverse business partners, talent acquisition organization, and employee population focusing on a high-quality experience for all.

  • Responsible for strict compliance with all applicable rules and regulations as set forth by the US Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Labor (USDOL), and US Department of State (USDOS). 

  • Manage internal reviews or audits of immigration data, processes, and policies.

  • Minimize compliance risks to the company and employees.

  • Proactively resolve employee issues and concerns regarding documentation, immigration status, and procedural inquiries.

  • Manage vendor invoicing processes to optimize costs while maintaining service quality.

  • Overseeing additional program responsibilities to support the company’s growth and evolving needs.


About You
 

Basic Qualifications:
 

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.

Professional Skills: 

  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience managing U.S. immigration programs within a corporate environment and/or immigration law firm.

  • In depth knowledge of US immigration laws, work authorization types and governmental processes. 

  • Extensive experience in vendor management and strategic partnerships with external immigration counsel.

  • Skilled in assessing case details to determine optimal filing strategies. 

  • Proven success independently owning and managing large-scale U.S. immigration programs, including high-volume case portfolios.

  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex immigration concepts effectively to leadership and key stakeholders. 

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in decision-making.

  • Highly organized, with a track record of coordinating multiple deliverables while adapting to rapid changes in priorities. 

  • Ability to react positively and quickly to sudden & unpredictable change.

  • Proficient in analyzing situations to identify potential challenges and opportunities.

  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

  • Superior organizational skills & strong project coordination experience.

  • Strong attention to detail, proofreading abilities, and computer proficiency.

  • Adaptability and cultural sensitivity, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace.

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry

  • Certifications and/or other industry recognition in HR, immigration, technical work process/management or related fields.

The salary range for this position is:

$123.750,00 - $178.750,00
