Albizu Law Firm, an immigration and family law practice in Austin, Texas, is seeking a Spanish-speaking Immigration Attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience in family-based, humanitarian-based, and removal cases to join a practice in a hybrid role (2 days in office).
The Immigration Attorney in this role will ensure the highest standards of legal service, achieve successful outcomes for clients all while maintaining ethical standards and compliance with immigration laws and regulations. This role requires a commitment to client advocacy, strategic case management, and continuous professional development to adapt to the evolving landscape of immigration law.
Key info about the role:
- Salary Range: $105K/year to $150K/year, depending on experience and knowledge, plus performance-based bonuses.
- Growth + Professional Development: Opportunities for advancement and leadership roles.
- Work Location: Based in Austin, Texas. Potential of hybrid model with at least 2 days in office per week in addition to any in-person court dates in San Antonio.
- Language/J.D./Bar Admission: Fluency/professional proficiency in Spanish is an absolute must. J.D. required and must be licensed to practice in any U.S. state (with preference for Texas admission).

- Realistic Hours: 9pm to 6pm, with an emphasis on work/life balance for all team members.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- Day-to-Day: Manage family-based I-130s/CP/AOS/waivers, N-400s, and humanitarian visa applications, including SIJs, U visas and VAWA as well as asylum and refugee cases. Conduct consultations and case assessments. Represent detained clients and those in removal proceedings and provide strategic defense. Manage habeas corpus work and federal litigation. Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs and motions. Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
