As a seasoned strategic individual contributor, the HR Strategy & Planning Partner supports the VP, Global Human Resources with defining and executing the enterprise-wide people strategy and ensuring alignment, integration, and collaboration across the Global HR team. This role plays a central part in aligning HR priorities with operational and business objectives across the organization by building and sustaining the systems, processes, and communication mechanisms required to effectively articulate the strategy, define KPIs, and execute against a clear roadmap. As a trusted partner and connector, this individual helps to ensure that HR initiatives are practical, scalable, and aligned to the needs of a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the refinement and evolution of the HR strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities, day-to-day operational demands, and broader labour market and workforce trends
  • Partner with Global HR leaders to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear milestones, accountabilities, and success metrics
  • Facilitate alignment discussions and working sessions with HR leadership teams to drive shared understanding, resolve strategic or execution misalignment, and reinforce a coordinated “One HR” approach.
  • Serve as the strategic integrator across Global HR, identifying interdependencies, overlaps, and risks between initiatives, and proactively recommending course corrections to maximize impact and avoid duplication.
  • Establish and manage project governance frameworks for Global HR initiatives with executive level status reporting.
  • Build and maintain the Global HR roadmap, outlining key milestones, linkages, and dependencies in one centralized view to help leaders maintain alignment and ensure initiatives are executed thoughtfully
  • Partner with the Global HR Communications Partner to plan and communicate relevant messaging to various stakeholders and promote ongoing strategic alignment
  • Assist the VP, Global HR with preparing for executive and operational leadership meetings, including the development of presentations, briefing materials, and strategic narratives
  • Lead agenda planning and content development for various Global HR leadership forums (bi-weekly meetings, quarterly business reviews, leadership offsites)
  • Develop and maintain a library of external research, insights and benchmarks to inform forward-looking HR planning and design of key initiatives
  • Develop and track HR metrics and dashboards, aligned to the HR strategy, priorities and initiatives 

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in HR program development, human capital consulting, or a related field, with experience in aviation, transportation or other highly operational, regulated industries is strongly preferred
  • A “builder” who is comfortable working in ambiguity, creating clarity from complexity, and designing structures and processes where none exist
  • Proven ability to build strong, trusting, collaborative relationships with political acuity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communicator – able to clearly and persuasively articulate ideas in writing and verbally
  • Strong PowerPoint skills to design executive-level presentations and briefing materials
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives in dynamic environments
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and solutions-oriented
  • Resilient and comfortable operating in a dynamic, operationally driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
