Oxy Algeria will be running 2026 summer internships lasting approximately 8 weeks, starting in early July. This internship is only open to students who will still be enrolled (not have graduated) from a Bachelor's or Master's course at an Algerian University in the summer of 2026.
The HR internship will involve two main topics
1) Reviewing and aiding the implementation of Oxy's Nationalization Strategy, which is in production with our Partners in Groupement Berkine and subject to review and amendment by Oxy and Partners. The strategy aims to put in place enabling actions to increase the number and ratio of Algerian Nationals that Oxy seconds into Groupement Berkine.
You will;
- Review and propose changes to the Nationalization Strategy
- Conduct interviews with Oxy people (Algerian and Expats) on how best to implement planned actions
- Track progress of actions
- Produce a live dashboard to monitor progress
2) In conjunction with our Training and Supply Chain colleagues research suppliers and options in Algeria for organizations who may be able to assist Oxy with Training and Development programmes - both technical and 'soft skills'.
We are seeking an intern who is currently studying HR, Business or a closely related discipline. You will have;
- Great attention to detail
- Strong English language skills
- Research experience
