What you'll do: Human Resources Associate - Payroll in the Enterprise will

  • Manage smooth payroll operations across Europe, with focus on the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, and Poland.
  • Ensure compliance with local payroll tax laws, social security, and statutory reporting requirements (e.g., PAYE in the UK, Lohnsteuer in Germany, Quellensteuer in Switzerland, A-skat in Denmark, and PIT/ZUS in Poland).
  • Oversee timely and accurate payroll processing, tax filings, and payments to authorities.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, Mobility teams, and external payroll providers to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor changes in local tax and labor laws and ensure payroll processes are updated accordingly.
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews and ensure payroll data is audit-ready.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and resolving identified issues.
  • Identify and manage payroll compliance risks, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams and employees on payroll tax matters.
  • Support payroll compliance during business changes such as expansions, mergers, or cross-border employee movements.
  • Support payroll team members to improve knowledge and efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills; German language preferred.

What youll bring:

  • Bachelors degree with 3+ years of experience in European payroll, tax, and compliance, specifically in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Poland.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing payroll operations across these countries.
  • Good understanding of payroll tax regulations and statutory requirements in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Poland.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex payroll tax and compliance regulations.
  • Knowledge of cross-border employment, tax treaties, and international mobility matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial and payroll data accurately.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; German language preferred.
  • Experience leading or supporting payroll teams.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work in detail while maintaining a broader business perspective.
  • Experience managing in-house payroll operations.
