Team Overview 
KKR’s Global Payroll Operations team is responsible for the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll across all regions. This includes end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, reporting, and ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements .
The team partners closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure timely salary disbursements, resolve payroll queries, and maintain strong internal controls. In addition, the team focuses on process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and support a consistent employee experience globally.

Position Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Associate to support business operations across multiple countries with a primary focus on APAC countries, managing monthly payroll processes for Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, effective cross-time-zone collaboration, and execution support for regional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
•    Perform end-to-end Payroll Processing for APAC regions
•    Coordinating payroll information related to payroll demographics, maternity, sick leave, pension and other benefits in kind in coordination with the Benefits team, HR, and other stakeholders
•    Documenting payroll processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations. 
•    Identify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiency 
•    Providing prompt and complete responses to employees and vendors on payroll-related questions
•    Working closely with Treasury Department to forecast cash requirements to fund payrolls and ensure payroll funding is executed to payroll vendors and/or employees on time
•    Assisting Accounting colleagues with questions related to payroll journal entries and account reconciliations
•    Notifying management of errors and problems, propose solutions, and work with management to implement solutions that balance the interest of employees and firm.

Qualifications & Skills

•    Minimum payroll experience of 2-3 years
•    Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
•    Practical, hands-on Payroll processing experience, preferably across multiple countries 
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
•    Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
•    Experience working with international/APAC stakeholders is preferred
•    Experience with Payroll-related systems 
•    Demonstrates a strong customer service mindset and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of management 
•    Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with cyclical workloads and critical year-end deadlines
