About Universal Intermodal Services Inc.
Universal Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps and offers domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities. We operate from over 30 terminals and 11 container yards. We provide Chassis, Containers, Drayage, and Services for Imports, Exports, and Domestic moves.
Chassis & Per Diem Intermodal Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented Chassis & Per Diem Intermodal Clerk to support intermodal and terminal operations. This role manages chassis tracking, monitors per diem charges, and resolves billing discrepancies with rail terminals, steamship lines, and chassis providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track chassis and container movements and usage
- Monitor and dispute per diem, detention, and demurrage charges
- Coordinate with chassis leasing companies and ocean carriers
- Reconcile invoices and maintain accurate equipment records
- Support terminal operations and communicate equipment issues
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years in intermodal, rail, drayage, or terminal operations preferred
- Knowledge of chassis, containers, and per diem concepts
- Strong attention to detail and Excel proficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
