Summary:
The HRIS Analyst plays a critical role within the Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE), supporting the design, optimization, and ongoing administration of HR systems across a multi-Opco, shared services environment. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, streamline processes, and deliver scalable, compliant system solutions that support organizational growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize HRIS platforms to support HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent and Learning functions. Configure system workflows, business processes, and security roles aligned with COE standards. Lead system updates, releases, and enhancements, including testing and deployment.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of employee data across systems. Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics. Support audit requests, compliance reporting, and data governance practices.
- Serve as Tier 2 escalation point for HRIS-related inquiries from HR regional teams, shared services, and employees. Standardize processes and documentation to drive consistency across operating companies. Partner with COE leaders (Total Rewards, Talent, Learning, Payroll, People Experience) to align system capabilities with program needs
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve system utilization. Lead or support automation initiatives (e.g., integrations, workflows, self-service enhancements). Drive continuous improvement mindset within HR systems and shared services delivery.
- Support HRIS integrations with third-party vendors (benefits, payroll, timekeeping, etc.). Partner with IT and vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. Participate in vendor evaluations, implementations, and upgrades.
- Support HRIS-related projects including implementations, acquisitions, and system migrations. Assist with M&A integration activities (data conversion, system alignment, process standardization). Develop training materials including SOPs and support change management efforts for system updates.
Key Competencies:
- Deep understanding of HRIS architecture and core HR functions including employee lifecycle data, organizational structures, and business process frameworks
- Ability to translate HR policies and programs into scalable system configurations
- Strong knowledge of upstream/downstream impacts across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, and Learning systems
- Advanced ability to audit, validate, and reconcile large datasets across multiple systems
- Translate data into insights that support decision-making for COE leaders and business stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data modeling) and experience with reporting tools
- Lean / continuous improvement mindset with focus on consistency and user experience
- Customer-service mindset with ability to support Tier 2 escalations professionally and efficiently
- Understanding of system integrations, data flows, and file structures (e.g., APIs, SFTP, EDI feeds)
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with ability to diagnose root causes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to details
- Proven capability supporting HRIS implementations and system upgrades
- Maintains strict confidentiality and exercises sound judgment with sensitive data
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environment
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business or related field; equivalent professional experience also considered
- 2+ years of experience in an HRIS, HR Technology, or HCM Analyst role
- Hands-on experience supporting at least one enterprise HRIS platform (Workday, UKG, ADP, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience with reporting, data validation, and system testing (UAT)
- Strong reporting skills (Excel advanced, system reporting tools, dashboards)
- Demonstrated experience with integrations, APIs, or middleware tools is a plus
- Experience supporting multi-entity or high-growth organizations preferred
- M&A system integration expertise preferred
