HR Summer Intern

Responsible for providing global administrative support in the areas of employee experience,
training, employee on and off-boarding, payroll, benefits, and human resource (HR) records
maintenance (paper and electronic).

Hybrid office environment (Remote Home Office/800 Collip Circle, Suite 104, London, Ontario)

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to employee inquiries
  • Process, track, maintain and archive confidential HR related records and documents (paper
    and electronic)
  • Monitor/research legislative changes and HR best practices to support policy review and
    development
  • Under the direction of the Team Lead, People Operations, prepare employment agreements
    using templates
  • Assist in preparation of employee onboarding and offboarding activities and documents
  • Support Payroll and HR Coordinators in all payroll and benefits related activities
  • Assist the Total Rewards Specialist in the execution of the annual merit increase process and
    the preparation of Total Reward Statements
  • Provide support to the Total Rewards & Data Specialist on HR reporting, audits and data
    modelling on an as needed basis
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of company-wide new employee orientation sessions
  • Assist in maintaining employee records in the Learning Management System (LMS), Human
    Resources Information System (HRIS) and Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS)
  • Assist with background checks and employment confirmations
  • Provide support and participate in special HR project planning and execution
  • Qualifications

  • Ability to reliably commute to Alimentiv's London offices on a hybrid basis as needed 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team and in an environment with changing
    priorities
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Be strongly motivated to meet timelines and project goals
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma completion
  • Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in a Human Resources Management program.
