The HR People Analytics Analyst plays a critical role in enabling a data‑driven HR function by transforming workforce data into insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing complex HR data to help leaders understand workforce health, organizational trends, and opportunities for improvement. This role collaborates closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Management, Payroll & Timekeeping, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, and business leaders to provide clear, actionable analytics that influence decisions related to talent, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.This position serves as both a technical analyst and an insights consultant—leveraging advanced data techniques, strong problem‑solving skills, and business acumen to diagnose issues and deliver meaningful recommendations. The Analyst will support the development of dashboards, analytics tools, and reporting frameworks that provide consistent visibility into key workforce metrics such as employee experience, engagement, headcount, turnover, performance, and talent movement.Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Collect, clean, and analyze HR and workforce data from multiple systems (Workday, UKG WFM Pro, ADP, Peakon, etc.) to deliver meaningful insights.
  • Conduct advanced analytics such as forecasting, segmentation, workforce planning models, and turnover analysis.
  • Transform data into compelling stories and business recommendations for HR and business leaders.

Reporting & Dashboards

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Workday People Analytics, Discovery Boards) that track key workforce metrics (turnover, headcount, DEI, performance, talent acquisition, learning, etc.).
  • Automate recurring HR reports and ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Monitor data quality and partner with HR Operations to resolve data integrity issues and assesses areas for potential internal and external audit risk.

HR Data Governance & Integrity

  • Support the development and maintenance of data standards, definitions, and governance practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX, internal policies).

Partnership & Consultation

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Organization Design, Talent Management, and HR Operations to understand business needs and develop analytical solutions.
  • Provide consultative support by interpreting data and advising on workforce trends, root causes, and recommendations.
  • Assist in org design modeling, including span‑of‑control, layer analysis, and organizational health metrics (as needed).
  • Enable self-service analytics by delivering curated datasets, user-friendly dashboards, and training that empower HR and business leaders to make data-driven decisions.

Project & Continuous Improvement

  • Support enterprise HR projects by providing analytics that shape strategies and decision‑making.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes through automation, new tools, or improved data use.
  • Stay current on HR analytics trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for HR analytics Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, computer science, statistics, data analytics, or relevant field. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for education requirements.

5+ years of experience in HR analytics, people analytics, or a data-related HR role

3+ years of experience with HR disciplines such as HR Business Partner, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Employee Engagement, HR Systems, HR Operations, and/or HR Reporting and Analytics.

Strong analytics and quantitative skills

Proficiency with data tools such as Excel (advanced), PowerBI/Tableau, SQL, Prism, and/or Workday People Analytics.

Experience working with HR systems, preferably Workday.

Ability to translate data into insights and communicate clearly to non-technical audiences

 

Desired Qualifications:

Advanced degree in analytics, HR, business or related field.

Experience with predictive analytics or statical modeling (R, Python, or similar)

Knowledge of organization design methodologies and workforce planning principles.

Experience supporting and implementing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and enterprise HR initiatives or transformations. 

Experience with Workday Prism
