HR Generalist
Swarmer develops software that makes drones autonomous and allows them to operate together, in large, coordinated teams — no pilots needed. Our technology has been battle-tested in Ukraine— the world’s most intense proving ground for drone warfare.
In March 2026, we became the first Ukrainian defense startup to go public on NASDAQ, following a $15M Series A — the largest investment in a Ukrainian defense tech company since the start of the war.
Working at Swarmer means operating at the intersection of engineering rigor and frontline reality. The problems and environments are complex, and the stakes are very real. We built this software to enable democratic nations to defend themselves.
If you are motivated by building resilient systems that matter and by seeing the direct impact of your work, you’ll find purpose here.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an HR Generalist to be our go-to People Operations partner in the United States. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations for our US team, acting as the first point of contact on the ground while keeping processes compliant, structured, and human-centered.

Own and manage employee records and HR documentation in compliance with US regulations
Lead onboarding and offboarding processes (contracts, documentation, coordination, checklists)
Facilitate trial period check-ins, 1:1s, and employee touchpoints to ensure smooth integration and engagement
Administer and coordinate benefits and insurance programs (enrollment, changes, employee support)
Act as the first point of contact for onsite employees for HR-related questions and support
Partner with the HR Director to ensure consistency between US and global HR practices
Maintain accurate data in HR systems and ensure process discipline and documentation quality
Identify and implement improvements in HR operations and employee experience
Support recruitment process when needed
What we need:

Strong understanding of US employment practices, compliance, and HR processes
Experience managing benefits and insurance programs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—you keep things structured and reliable
Comfortable running employee conversations (1:1s, check-ins, onboarding sessions)
A proactive, ownership-driven mindset—you don’t wait for instructions to fix things
Ability to balance operational work with human interaction
Experience with HRIS systems (HiBob or similar is a plus)
What you’ll get:
A key role as the main HR presence in the US with real ownership and visibility
Direct collaboration with an experienced HR Director, executive team onsite and global team in Poland and Ukraine
Opportunity to shape and build US HR practices from the ground up
Competitive salary and benefits package (health insurance, unlimited PTO)
Fast-paced, no-bureaucracy environment where decisions happen quickly
Work that directly contributes to meaningful, real-world impact
How’s the hiring process going:
✔️Intro Call → ✔️Technical Interview → ✔️Final Interview with HR Director and Head of TA → ✔️Offer
Please note that, as a leading defense tech company, we take operations security seriously and may need to perform additional background checks as part of our hiring process. We will do so in accordance with all applicable US laws and regulations and safeguard your data in the process.
About your future manager:
A few words from the person behind the title.
“Hello! My name is Olha. I bring 15 years of experience in HR within the IT sector, with a strong focus over the last 4 years on veterans’ reintegration.
I believe the HR function exists to support teams and leaders in becoming stronger and more autonomous — never as a substitute for leadership itself. To me, the role of a leader is to serve their teams.
I’m convinced that almost everything can be learned and mastered — except values, and the ability of the mind to think both systematically and flexibly. These are non-negotiables.
Outside of work, I’m an active member of my community, and I enjoy art, food, and good laughs. Your memes are safe with me.”
