About the Position

Main assignments, responsibilities and authorities

  • In your position as a Manager at Höganäs, you are responsible for driving supply chain initiatives in line with the overall objectives of improving service, ensuring that internal directives and rules are followed and to see to it that pertinent laws regarding occupational health, safety and environment are complied with. You are also responsible for having required permits and certifications in place.
  • People management includes assigning work, leading and managing work, ensures that the employees have access to information necessary, skill development and appraisals.
  • Strategic planning: Organize and implement supply chain strategic planning according to the company's overall development strategy to ensure that the rest of the company's business goals are aligned. Analyze industry market dynamics and technological changes and put forward strategic suggestions for the future development of the supply chain system.
  • Supplier and Sourcing Management: Responsible for the strategic sourcing and supplier development of localized raw materials and establish and improve the supplier management system. Select, evaluate, negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers to establish long-term and stable strategic cooperative relationships.
  • Cost control: Responsible for product supply chain cost accounting and analysis, formulating and implementing cost control strategies, and continuously reducing the total supply chain cost through price negotiation and inventory optimization. Establish a dynamic cost tracking mechanism and promote cost optimization. Researches, negotiates, maintains, and regularly evaluates relationships and contracts with external suppliers so the business has a reliable supply of goods and services that meet its standards of quality, timeliness and cost.
  • Process and operation management: Design and optimize the process and management system of all aspects of the supply chain, responsible for the effective running of supply chain for China market including procurement, planning, warehousing and logistics, improve the overall response speed and operational efficiency, and establish a risk early warning mechanism, customer satisfaction and longer term growth and development within business procedures.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with R&D, production, sales and other departments to provide suggestions for product research and development from the perspective of the supply chain, ensure the smooth implementation of products, and jointly promote the realization of the company's overall goals.
  • Digitalization and data management: Promote the digital construction of the supply chain, and use ERP, WMS and other systems to achieve full-link information tracking. Analyze and monitor key performance indicators (such as delivery on-time rate, inventory turnover, etc.) through data means to provide decision-making support for management.

Knowledge, capabilities and motivation

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s degree or above, major in supply chain management, procurement, business administration, logistics and other related majors is preferred.
  • Work experience: 10 years and above supply chain management experience is required, including 5 years of team management experience, and a background in the materials manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Professional skills: proficient in the whole process of supply chain management, familiar with procurement, production, logistics and other links, with excellent data analysis, business negotiation and project management skills.
  • Language ability: English level 4 or above, proficient in English communication.
  • Personal traits: Excellent leadership, communication and coordination skills, strong logical thinking, data analysis and problem-solving skills, good team spirit and pressure resistance.
