Sales Manager
About the Position
Main assignments, responsibilities and authorities
Sales manager should be able to fulfill various duties and responsibilities, typical responsibilities and tasks are listed below:
- While working for Höganäs you should always follow pertinent laws. You are also responsible for the following internal directives and rules concerning occupational health, safety and environment so that required permits are not put at jeopardy.
- Exercise the responsibilities and perform the duties of the position within company’s policies and procedures.
- Know, understand and incorporate Höganäs values, vision and principles in all behavior, practice and decisions.
- Deal with customers’ questions and expectations.
- Establish account plans following the business plan strategy and ensure sales activities are tracked using the required reporting tools.
- Price calculation and price setting, drive price negotiation with customers.
- Follow up customer payment. Propose credit limit and payment terms as for governance directive.
- Coordinate investigations, customer complaints as well as customer specific requirements by following the established procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries including assortment requests, product specification change and new items.
- Visit customers on a regular basis and actively builds networks throughout the organization and, where appropriate, externally.
- Monthly updates on sales result and forecast.
- Prepare meeting reports and monthly reports.
- Plan, coordinate and document key customer activities.
- Collect and develop market intelligence about customers and applications.
- Work closely with technical team, business development team and customer service.
- Collect competitor information on products, process, quality and activities.
Specialized or technical knowledge, skills and experience
- Ability to interact within diverse groups in a professional manner
- Business experience in sales function
- Material, engineering and or economics background with good technical understanding
- Fluent oral and written English
- Sensitiveness to customer needs
- Knowledge of Höganäs products
- Understanding of financial reporting
