About the Position

Höganäs in North America is seeking a Quality, Health/Safety/Environment & Energy (QHSEE) Coordinator to work at our Hollsopple, PA plant.  This position embodies and promotes a positive QHSEE culture and supports the day-to-day QHSEE activities at all facilities. Participates in the planning and execution of activities associated with the development, application, and maintenance of QHSEE programs and improvements, and contributes to local, state and federal reporting requirements, as well as with internal, external and customer audits.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Actively promotes a positive QHSEE culture.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of activities associated with the development, application, and maintenance of QHSEE programs, procedures and improvements.
  • Leads and supports production teams with root cause analysis utilizing problem solving techniques for clear and concise corrective action implementation and conducts follow-up. 
  • Supports daily activities associated with QHSEE activities at all facilities. 
  • Conducts QHSEE training and maintains records and documentation required for complying with QHSEE standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, DEP and EPA.
  • Conducts QHSEE audits and inspections, both external and internal.
  • Maintains and documents information into QHSEE systems such as MIA, CRAM, AMS, and Sphera.
  • Supports the Management System - ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 50001. 
  • Supports Sustainability and Operational Excellence/Lean initiatives.
  • Actively exhibits leadership capabilities in all aspects of their work.
  • Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Displays conscious awareness of what is required to ensure a sustainable Höganäs.

Qualified candidates will possess an Associate’s degree and 5 years minimum related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years’ experience. Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees and management.  Proficient with computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.  Must be willing to occasionally work nights and weekends.  Capable of overnight travel, including international if needed.
