High Voltage Design Lead Engineer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the design, development, and release of High Voltage wire harness systems for global vehicle platforms.

  • Manage High Voltage suppliers, design, and release wiring and components.

  • Lead interface between engineering/functional owners, supplier, manufacturing, and core to ensure delivery on time and quality.

  • Pre-PS Assessment for HV BEV Program (round table discussion Pre-PS).

  • Lead the verification and design release of wire harness and its components for global programs.

  • Understand HV EDS routing and retention design supplied area harness chart and how it ties to system design.

  • Support Program Integration in providing Cost for PS (Cost status to Target Set-up).

  • CRF assessment – Support change review process.

  • Support TIB to BOM validation issue resolution.

  • Support UNV/UVP phase deliverables – FDJ deliverables.

  • Define cost closure, FEDE DPV status.

  • Support Engineering File Review (ECF process) for DCV Build.

Skills Required:

  • Deep understanding of engineering knowledge, especially in High Voltage wiring harness design.

  • Solid understanding of PDL process.

  • Strong knowledge of GPDS deliverables and milestones/gateways.

  • Good communication skills and capability in utilizing all communication tools.

  • Good planning, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Team player and ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams.

 

  • Education Required:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent).
