HGV/PSV Supervisor

Our client is looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee a team of three PSV Technicians and support day‑to‑day engineering operations. This hands‑on role ensures fleet reliability, compliance, and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise maintenance, repairs, and inspections across the fleet
• Allocate planned/unplanned work and manage daily staffing
• Carry out vehicle preparation and body repairs (cars & PSVs)
• Maintain workshop equipment and facilities
• Support stock control and warranty processes
• Keep accurate engineering and performance records
• Lead, develop, and motivate the engineering team
• Manage breakdowns, vehicle allocation, and service performance
• Promote strong Health & Safety culture

Requirements:

• Level 3 HGV City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent)
• PCV licence
• Strong engineering background
• Leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of H&S, employment, and environmental legislation
• Good IT and organisational skills
• Additional engineering/safety/environmental qualifications
