As a Health & Physical Education Teacher at New Story Schools, you will deliver inclusive instruction that supports student wellness, movement, and skill development. Your work aligns with IEP goals and promotes safe, engaging learning experiences for all students.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Pennsylvania Health and Physical Education teaching certification
At least six months of experience working with children with learning or behavioral challenges
Knowledge of PA state standards and adaptive physical education practices
Ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varied needs
What You’ll Do
Plan and deliver health and physical education lessons aligned to PA standards
Design adaptive physical education programming based on IEP goals and student needs
Create inclusive indoor and outdoor activities that promote movement and skill building
Collaborate with teams to support IEP development and specially designed instruction
Ensure student safety through instruction in injury prevention and physical conditioning
