👩💻🧑💻 As a Head of Credit Risk at Qonto, you will
- Design and own Qonto's end-to-end credit risk framework, translating risk appetite into operational policies, underwriting standards, and robust governance models.
- Serve as the second line of defense by reviewing and validating complex credit decisions, and monitoring key risk indicators (cost of risk, NPL ratios, provisions) to trigger corrective actions.
- Lead portfolio monitoring and recovery, tracking concentration risks and early warning signals while building Qonto's collections strategy in line with IFRS 9 and regulatory requirements.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Financing teams to assess risks for new products and champion the use of AI/ML in credit risk processes (automated underwriting, real-time scoring).
- Build and lead a high-performing Credit Risk team from the ground up, fostering a risk-aware culture that maintains Qonto's speed and customer obsession across European markets.

🏅 About You
- Experience: You have 8–12 years of experience in credit risk with a strong background in SME or corporate lending from the banking sector, and a proven ability to build frameworks from scratch in fast-moving environments.
- Technical mastery: You possess deep expertise in credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, provisioning (IFRS 9), and recovery processes, alongside a strong command of regulatory requirements (CRR, Basel, ACPR).
- Data & AI driven: You have hands-on experience leveraging AI/ML in credit risk processes and are proficient with data tools (SQL, Python is a plus) and financial modeling.
- Leadership: You have successfully built, hired, and developed credit risk talent, acting as a mentor and structured thinker who can translate ambiguity into actionable policies.
- Languages: You are fluent in both French and English to effectively communicate across our European markets.
