What You’ll Do as Head of Buying
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Trend & Innovation Translation: Translates trends and technical innovation into commercially scalable lingerie—balancing fashion relevance with functional performance.
- Advanced Lingerie Product & Fit Expertise: Deep authority in bra construction, grading and support—able to confidently sign off product and challenge technical decisions to ensure fit consistency at scale.
- Fabric & Component Expertise: Technical understanding of fabrics and componentry—balancing performance, comfort, durability and cost to deliver customer-led product.
- Cost Engineering & Price Architecture: Ability to deconstruct cost drivers and engineer product to meet target price points while protecting quality and performance.
- Range Architecture & Option Planning: Sets direction and signs off balanced, commercially effective ranges—optimising depth, breadth and price architecture.
- Supplier & Manufacturing Expertise: Strong knowledge of the lingerie supply base and specialised manufacturing techniques (moulding, bonding, seamless)—leveraging this to drive cost, quality and speed.
- Quality & Testing Standards: Owns product integrity through robust understanding of durability, wash and wear testing—ensuring consistent customer experience.
- Critical Path & Product Lifecycle Leadership: Drives end-to-end product delivery—ensuring timelines are met without compromise to quality or execution.

- Extensive Buying Expertise: 10+ years’ experience in Buying, including senior leadership responsibility, with a strong track record in delivering and executing successful Buying strategies.
- Leadership & High‑Performance Culture: Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams, set ambitious targets, drive results, and foster a culture of creativity and innovation.
- Commercial & Strategic Capability: Skilled in prioritising complex workloads, analysing large data sets, managing multiple projects, and navigating fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Exceptional Communication & Influence: Outstanding interpersonal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including Executive teams.
- Supplier & Negotiation Expertise: Highly skilled negotiator with significant experience managing suppliers, maintaining compliance standards, and building strong, strategic partnerships.
- Strong Personal Attributes: Operates with inegrity, sound judgment, emotional intelligence and professionalism; highly organised, detail‑focused, customer‑centric, and able to drive change while delivering results.
