Head of Business Development

Singapore, sg February 25, 2026 Full Time

About the role

We’re looking for a Business Development Lead to drive new revenue opportunities and deepen the pipeline while leading and developing a small, remote team of junior Business Development Executives.
This is a hands-on manager role. You’ll own pipeline generation, shape our outbound and partnership strategy, close priority deals, and coach a junior team to consistently perform in a remote-first environment. If you enjoy building structure, rolling up your sleeves, and turning fintech complexity into commercial wins, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

Business Development & Revenue

  • Own new business pipeline across outbound, inbound, and drive strategic partnerships to the right internal teams
  • Personally lead high-value deals from first conversation through to close
  • Identify and unlock new market opportunities, segments, and partnership models
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Network, Data & Sales to align messaging, targeting, and go-to-market execution
  • Track, forecast, and report on pipeline, conversion, and revenue performance

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of junior Business Development Executives
  • Set clear targets, activity standards, and expectations for a remote team
  • Provide regular feedback, deal coaching, and performance support
  • Build repeatable outbound and qualification playbooks that scale
  • Foster accountability, motivation, and growth within a distributed team

Strategy & Execution

  • Translate commercial goals into clear execution plans for the team
  • Test and refine outreach strategies, messaging, and channels
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve conversion and efficiency
  • Act as a voice of the customer, feeding market insights back into the business

What we’re looking for

Experience

  • 6–10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships
  • Experience in fintech, B2B SaaS, payments, financial services, or financial software
  • Proven track record of building and closing pipeline, not just managing relationships
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring junior team members (formal or informal)
  • Experience working effectively in a remote or distributed team

Skills

  • Strong commercial instinct with a hands-on, execution mindset
  • Ability to simplify complex products into compelling customer value
  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholders and partners
  • Structured, organised, and comfortable working with targets and metrics
  • Coaching mindset — you enjoy helping others improve and succeed

Nice to have

  • Experience building BD processes or teams from early or scaling stages
  • Exposure to partnerships, channel sales, or ecosystem-led growth
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and outbound tech stacks

Location & Travel
• Based in Singapore, comfortable with onsite working arrangements
