Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the role
In this role, you'll deliver our Hairdressing Level 3 and Level 4 programmes, supporting students as they develop practical skills and confidence in the classroom and practical training environment. Using an established, well-structured curriculum, you'll bring learning to life through demonstrations, hands-on activities, and guided practice.
You'll mentor students throughout their learning journey, track their progress, and provide encouragement and feedback to support successful outcomes. No prior teaching experience is required. Comprehensive training, resources, and ongoing support will be provided to help you succeed within the role.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering learning objectives in an engaging and inspiring way that brings our curriculum to life
Mentoring and supporting students, while tracking and monitoring their progress and success
Working towards strong graduate outcomes by motivating students and helping them achieve their career goals
Ko wai koe | About you
We're looking for an experienced and passionate Hairdressing Tutor to inspire and support the next generation of hair professionals. To be successful in this role, you'll hold a nationally recognised Level 4 qualification in hairdressing (or an equivalent international qualification) and have at least five years of hands-on industry experience.
A qualification in Adult Teaching or Education is an advantage, but is not essential. What matters most is your enthusiasm for sharing your skills, mentoring others, and helping students build confidence and success in their careers. Training and ongoing support will be provided to ensure your success within this role.
