Group Account Supervisor – Healthcare Communications (Market Access & Patient Support)

About the Role
The Group Account Supervisor is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing client relationships, driving cross-functional team collaboration, ensuring execution excellence, and supporting organic growth within assigned verticals. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in market access, payer initiatives, and patient support, and thrives in both autonomous and team-driven environments. Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects is essential, especially within fast-paced and entrepreneurial organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day lead for assigned accounts, acting as the primary client contact and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.​
  • Streamline all communications with clients, ensuring alignment on projects, deliverables, and timelines.​
  • Execute strategic plans as outlined in Scope of Work, driving projects to successful completion.​
  • Support the MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) submission process and participate in client and internal review meetings; leverage Veeva or related systems.​
  • Oversee account financials including client reporting, monthly reconciliation, quarterly accruals, PO management, and budget alignment.​
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (strategy, creative, medical, project management) to ensure seamless execution.​
  • Lead weekly client status meetings; capture notes and distribute weekly recaps/contact reports.​
  • Act as JIB (job initiation brief) liaison, creating timelines, estimates, and ensuring all project details are captured ahead of kickoff.​
  • Pursue organic account growth and identify new business opportunities within existing relationships.​
  • Provide task and project management support to ensure timely delivery and high-quality standards.​
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering professional growth and collaborative success.​
  • Assist with MLR submissions from initiation to distribution; act as resident Veeva expert.​
  • Support project review tasks, including change management and blackline review.​
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work autonomously and collaboratively in a startup environment, proactively problem-solving and adapting to changing priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health communications, marketing, or related field.​
  • 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare agency account management, including market access/payer and patient support communications.​
  • Demonstrated project management skills across multi-channel initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of MLR process and Veeva systems.​
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to lead client discussions and internal meetings.​
  • Proven financial acumen in client reporting, reconciliation, and budget oversight.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.

The estimated salary for this position and similar roles Citrus may consider for applicants ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 per year. This is the approximate pay range that Citrus anticipates it will pay for this and similar positions at the time of this posting.
