VAT Manager
Join our dynamic team as a VAT Manager and take the next step in your career.
As a VAT Manager, you will be (co-)responsible for delivering a broad range of VAT advisory services to our international and Belgian clients.
With a proactive mindset, you will act as a trusted advisor, supporting clients at key moments (such as changes in activities or business model, expansion into new sales channels or markets, and mergers and acquisitions), as well as in their day-to-day operations.
You will also contribute to improving their internal processes, including e-invoicing and the automation of VAT reporting (implementation and review of tax codes). In addition, you will support the further automation of our VAT compliance services.
What does a VAT Manager do at Grant Thornton?
As a ‘trusted advisor’ you will be the first point of contact for our national and international clients;
You will assist our clients with all Belgian VAT matters and take on a coordinating role in aligning non-Belgian VAT aspects with our local VAT colleagues within the GT network.
Within the scope of specific VAT projects, you will perform analyses aimed at VAT optimization, provide guidance to clients on implementation (such as setting up ERP codes), and conduct VAT health checks.
You will deliver VAT technical training sessions to clients tailored to the needs of their accounting and invoicing departments.
During VAT audits, you will act as the primary point of contact for the VAT authorities and guide clients through the entire audit process, including support with potential VAT adjustments and requests for penalty reductions.
Collaboration with team members and colleagues from other departments is an integral part of your daily responsibilities.
