About Role -
Coforge is seeking to appoint a Director Sales to lead hunting-led growth across Central Government Ministries and PSU accounts in India. This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned sales professional who thrives on new logo acquisition, large deal closures, and solution-led selling in the Government ecosystem. This is not just a sales role - it is an opportunity to shape Coforges Government business, influence marquee wins, and create a lasting impact within one of the fastest-growing global IT services firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive new business acquisition across Central Government Ministries PSUs and allied agencies
- Build qualify and convert a robust hunting pipeline spanning large marquee deals as well as mid-sized repeatable opportunities to sustain revenue momentum
- Lead solution-led and RFP-driven sales pursuits working closely with pre-sales solution architects delivery and alliances teams
- Develop deep trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders decision-makers influencers and system integrators
- Strategize and execute bid management proposal defence and negotiations for complex high-value government tenders
- Track and drive order booking TCV pipeline conversion and win ratios with strong governance and predictability
- Act as a market-facing leader representing Coforge in government forums industry bodies and strategic discussions
- Contribute to account shaping GTM strategies and long-term Government business growth plans
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven sales hunter with deep experience selling IT Services, AI, Cloud, Data, Cyber, Digital, Application and Managed Services to Government and PSU clients
- Strong established network across Central Government Ministries PSUs and key ecosystem partners Demonstrated success in closing large complex multi-year Government deals while also nurturing mid-sized opportunities
- Strong understanding of Government procurement frameworks RFPs tenders GeM and compliance-led sales cycles
- Highly solution-oriented able to translate business problems into technology-led outcomes
- Executive presence with the ability to engage CXOs Secretaries CMDs and senior bureaucrats
- Self-driven resilient and comfortable operating in ambiguous high-growth environments
