As the Global Engineering Senior Manager – Packaging & Automation Technology, you will serve as the global technical subject matter expert for packaging systems, machinery & automation technologies. You will define global standards, lead innovation programs, and enable breakthrough improvements in packaging operations, while also driving the global savings agenda through the Global Automation Programme.
Key Ingredients:
Global Packaging Technology Leadership
Own and drive implementation of global packaging equipment standards, design criteria, and material–equipment compatibility guidelines.
Lead global capability building for packaging systems including moulding (preform, blow) filling, labeling, cartoning, case packing, palletizing, and format changeover across rigid & flexible formats across a variety of materials.
Evaluate new packaging technologies, materials, and machinery platforms for global adoption.
Automation, Robotics & Digital Systems Excellence
Own global automation standards and drive the adoption of next‑generation automation technologies: AI-driven controls, AMRs/AGVs, vision systems, predictive monitoring.
Global Line Design, Simulation & Performance Optimization
Define standard line layouts and ensure consistent deployment across Zones.
Conduct value‑stream mapping to identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities.
Supplier & Technology Partner Management
Oversee global packaging machinery OEM partnerships and along with Procurement negotiate standard platforms.
Evaluate and qualify suppliers via structured technical assessment.
Co-develop automation and packaging innovations with OEMs.
Support Global Procurement to drive supplier segmentation and establish best-in-class, cost-accretive technologies.
Global Capex & Technology Roadmapping
Define the Packaging & Automation capital investment pipeline.
Guide long-term equipment strategy to deliver a sustainable, resilient and future-ready manufacturing base.
