Job Responsibility
- Independent execution and development of simulations for structural components of wind power gearboxes(e.g.housings, planetary carriers, bearings, gears)
- Independent development of simulation approaches to improve the system understanding of the gearbox and the drive train
- Creation and validation of complex FE models to analyze strength, life, stiffness and vibration behavior under real operating conditions
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary and global team from design, testing and production to derive improvements based on measurment data, Testing and production feedback
- Technical support for prototype tests to derive improvement of simulation models with the help of measurement data
- Documentation and presentation of the results as well as derivation of recommendations for action for product development
Job Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering, simulation technology or comparable, ideally with the focus on drive technology/gearboxes
- Several years of professional experience in the simulation and design of structural components preferably in the field of wind power gearboxes or comparable large gearboxes
- Very good knowledge of the use of modern simulation software (especially ANSYs Workbench)
- experience in FE modeling and life calculation of complex assemblies
- Experience with the consideration of manufacturing tolerances and their influence on component performance
- Analytical and structured approach to the design of structural components
- Very good written and spoken English skills
