Chief Business Development Officer
Education:
Bachelors degree in healthcare. Master’s Degree in Health Care, Public Health, MBA or finance preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of successful sales management in healthcare preferably in hospice, home health or other post acute service
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced skills in Excel, and Power Point and ease with data management
Advanced project management skills
Ability to effectively present to and facilitate groups
Skill in oral and written communication
Knowledgeable in all post-acute services
Strong Presentation skills
Prior experience working in complex medical environments
Experience with CRM and managing a successful business development enterprise

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth and Market Leadership
- Develops and leads a multi-year business development strategy aligned with organizational goals in hospice, palliative and serious illness care.
- Assists with the identification of new market opportunities, partnerships and service line expansion.
- Monitors market trends, regulatory changes and competitive dynamics to inform our growth strategy. Participates in the strategic planning and deployment process to formulation strategic inputs and objectives for the organization
Affiliate Company Growth
- Provide direct oversight and strategic direction for our affiliate companies.
- Drives performance improvement, market penetration, and alignment with system-wide goals. Assists with the evaluation of new affiliate opportunities, joint ventures, and partnerships to expand reach and impact.
Managed Care and Payer Strategy
- Lead the development and management of relationships with managed care organizations and value-based entities.
- Negotiate and structure contracts that support growth and risk-based and alternative payment models
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to ensure successful execution of payer strategies.
- Meets goals for employee retention and engagement
Sales and Referral Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing business development team across affiliates and core operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission alignment.
- Partner cross-functionality with clinical, operation and finance leaders to ensure integrated growth efforts.
Financial and Operational Performance
- Monitor the customer satisfaction of our referral sources and make program and operational changes to continuously improve these scores
- Tracks and Reports on key performance indicators, including census growth, payer mix, and market share.
- Develop and manage budgets for related to business development functions.
- Contributes to revenue growth, margin improvement, and log-term financial sustainability. Collaborate with Health Systems leaders, Gilchrist leaders in the development of policies and standard work for the department

Pay Range
$123,450.20 - $222,210.37Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
